Freedom Body Piercing and Tattooing was established by Brian way back in 1999. Brian is trained by Fogg, who is one of the premier piercers in Canada. Brian loves to immaculate Fogg’s style of art. He did not stop with Fogg as he has done even advanced training with Tom Brazda from Toronto, who was the most renowned artists around in the world. He then worked hard to open this shop and now it has became the favorites of many.
Freedom has a very happening reception where all your queries on the studio, piercing, tattooing and after-care instructions are handled promptly. Walls of the reception is completely filled with body piercing and tattooing done by the studio artists. All kinds of body jewelry is displayed for sale and has albums consists of piercing, tattooing image and tattoo flash for reference.
The piercing room is the place designed for client’s comfortability. Wipe out your fears about piercing and all the queries would be answered and cleared. You would be guided well through the entire process of piercing. They desperately want each of the piercing to be great success.
Tattooing and piercing equipments at Freedom are thoroughly sterilized with their own autoclave that is tested every month in UBC lab. Highest standards of procedures and cleanliness are strictly followed in this studio.
Tattooing services are handled by talented crew of Troy, Rick and Darcy. These artists have varied talents and cover all kinds of tattooing under the sun.
Rules and regulations in Freedom are followed vigorously. Drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited. To get a tattoo you must be over or equal to 18. To get a piercing done one must be equal or over 16. Age below16 have to be accompanied by their parents. However, for genital piercing is concerned, it would be done only for those on 18 years of age.

The very first tattoo studio opened in Jarrow was Viking Tattoo Studio in 1995 by eminent tattoo artist Chris Wright. Till that date of inception the studio was working strength and strength and getting stronger with the performance every day. Their work is continuously getting featured in tattoo magazines and they incessantly participating in tattoo conventions in UK and also abroad.
Chris Wright, owner of Viking tattoo Studio first received a tattoo when he was in teens by an artist. But he was not satisfied with the work and started working on drawings and paintings in order to improve himself. He then tattooed his friends and other people’s for covering up the old unwanted tattoos, which was probably not the right way to start the art.
Soon after he got an offer to work and maintain a tattoo shop in Country Durham since the owner of the shop had to move away for a while. That was the time he got used to professional equipment of tattoo and improvement in his work was evident. With that valuable experience he was working in couple of studios during the weekend and worked at night from home. All these experiences induced him confidence to open a shop in Jarrow in the year 1995 and the rest is history.
Viking Tattoo Studio is staged first tattoo convention at Monkton Sports Stadium, which was first one of its kind in South Tyneside. This has yielded success and it was famously known as “Huge Tattoo Party”. Skin Deep, a famous tattoo magazine wrote about this convention show.
This studio is registered with the local health authority and following all the norms set by them. The studio is also getting inspected by the health authority on regular intervals on the health norms been practiced. Obviously all the equipments engaged in work have been autoclave sterilized.
All kinds of tattoo styles under the sun are done with great ease in the studio. They are also indulging themselves in cover-ups of older ones. Thousands of designs are available in the shop for the customers to select the one that suits their tastes and fancies. You can also bring your own idea, which would be promptly done.
