The very first tattoo studio opened in Jarrow was Viking Tattoo Studio in 1995 by eminent tattoo artist Chris Wright. Till that date of inception the studio was working strength and strength and getting stronger with the performance every day. Chris Wright, owner of Viking tattoo Studio first received a tattoo when he was in teens by an artist. But he was not satisfied with the work and started working on drawings and paintings in order to improve himself. Soon after he got an offer to work and maintain a tattoo shop in Country Durham since the owner of the shop had to move away for a while. All these experiences induced him confidence to open a shop in Jarrow in the year 1995 and the rest is history.

Tilbury Tattoo is one of the oldest studios in Essex, which is operating for the past 44 years with unparallel servicing. The shop was small to do piercing and keeping that space constraint in mind, the new studio evolved in December 11th 2004.

Alan connection with tattoo has started very early age watching his uncle involving in tattooing in the kitchen. Alan’s tattoo interest increased after he accompanied his uncle to see tattoo greats of those days Ronny Akers, Jack Zeek and George Bone.
