Dan Henk, a tattooing veteran, was very artistic since his childhood. In his high school Dan’s obvious choice was art and creative writing. He chose them without any second thinking. When he was out of his house, he was all set to start his career in art.

Dan had his initial struggle before establishing himself as veteran tattoo artist. He was homeless in his early days and engaged in food service job. He was constantly switching bad jobs. For nearly one and half year, he was involved in creating various art and related work for the local bands, clubs and even indulged in creating political cartoons for Madcap Magazines.

When he reached 23, Dan took the smart decision of sharpening his artistic skills and joined an art school where he learned a lot. There he got a plenty of support from teachers and his batch mates. But he decided to unplug him from the school early only to start a career in New York City. He continued his old work of creating arts for bands, album covers, etc. He published his paintings in books which has fetched him accolades but nothing was consistently coming in.

In that point of time he learned the nitty gritties of tattooing from his brother’s friend Chad Divel who was a tattooist. Tom Renshaw, Aaron Caine and Guy Aitchison sharpened his skill by opening his eyes on tattooing. His friend even got him time machine and complete set of starbrite ink. Dan Henk practiced with his girl friend and friends. He switched many shops finally settling in his own.

Dan has good writing skills and he is a novelist. He regularly participates in events and those details are getting updated on his website. Apart from tattooing you can buy mugs, shoes, mouse pads and even apparels in this shop. Dan works by appointment only. So make sure to have one.
